Yes, I know Napa is far from Portland, but we get excited when we see a wine bar that has “It”, the “Magic”, the “X” factor, or whatever you want to call it. The bottom line- Oxbow Wine Merchant is just really cool. All of this without even tasting a sip of wine!

We love wine tasting and making it easy to find wine events around Portland! Eva "the German" loves old world sensibility, balance and refinement; and has taught Bernard "the American" to appreciate subtlety and craftsmanship. (Although Eva now secretly enjoys some new world 'fruit bombs' on occasion!) We absolutely love finding (and drinking) wines that taste more expensive than they cost.
