In February and March we will have two different sit-down tasting events focusing on Cayuse. The first will be two flights focusing on two different horizontals of Syrah. February 7th 7PM $85.     Romance is always in the air at Andina during their Valentine’s Day celebration. Table 25, a cozy table for two by the window, has a long history of sealing the deal when it comes to romance and has become known as the spot for many marriage proposals. This magical table is sure to be in high demand this Valentine’s Day, but owner Doris Rodriguez de Platt promises all her guests that this Valentine’s Day “every table at Andina will have the same good omen as Table 25”. Andina offers a three-course prix fixe menu on Tuesday, February 14where guests can choose their tapas, entrée and dessert from a large selection of the regular menu. The dinner includes a half bottle of premium Champagne or sparkling wine (with red wine options) per person. Prices begin at $75 and depend on choice of wine.     Sonoma was the original source for fine wine production in California and continues this tradition today, producing many of the state’s finest and most elegant wines. Sandwiched between the Pacific Ocean and the slightly-warmer Napa Valley, Sonoma sees a marked maritime influence with cool temperatures, frequent cloud cover, and coastal fogs – all which serve to produce slow-ripened, complex fruit with great acidity. Variations in microclimates means that while cool climate grapes such as Pinot Noir and Chardonnay thrive in the cooler enclaves of Carneros and Russian River Valley, warmer regions like Dry Creek Valley and Alexander Valley are able to produce exceptional quality warmer-climate wines such as Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot blends.
